Very successful taster sessions were run at New Woodlands, Abbey Manor College and Grovelands, along with pupil questionnaires on the need of the project. These sessions were run in preparation of a proposed 3 year project commencing in January 2012.
8 Sports will be offered as a tool to re-engage the young people aged 6-16, with a focus on improving attendance, discipline, attainment and self worth. A Bronze, Silver and Gold system will be implemented to monitor and evaluate the success of the project.
This resulted in the three Headteachers, Duncan Harper, Liz Jones and Simon Dunford along with the feedback from the questionnaires confirming the need for such a positive and productive project.
